The making of the Wizard of Oz “The Movie” has now moved into full swing.
Children throughout the school are rehearsing their songs and dances, there are prop making teams and the filming has just started. The shoot is planned to take two weeks. The first week will be outside ‘location’ filming and for the second week the hall will be turned into a Sound Stage for the interior filming. Children in Elder class will also have the opportunity to work ‘behinds the scenes’, directing, as camera and boom operators, sound recordists, and lighting technicians. Elder and Willow classes will also be animating two of the scenes using digital software.
This is such a lovely opportunity for the children to experience a professional film production and we are grateful to Ben and the other parents in the team who are working hard to make this happen.
