This week in forest school we celebrated the spring equinox with
songs and poems. Groups talked about the Spring Equinox,
made clay birds and looked at all the beautiful flowers down in
the wild garden.
The children worked in groups to sum up in words how they felt
about the changing of the seasons.
When the poems were finished, they performed them to Lady
Spring. Here is one of the poems Willow Class wrote. …
A cosy nest in a tree
The birds sing merrily – Yipee! It’s spring!
Bluebells growing all around
Lapis flowers from the ground – yay! It’s spring!
Seeds are growing
The rivers are flowing – hurray! It’s spring!
Animals crawling out of beds
Sun shining on their furry heads – hallelujah! It’s spring!
